Back to Melonville

After last week's post on Bob and Doug Mackenzie, I thought I should mention the dozens of classic SCTV videos on YouTube.

Watching these stirs a bit of teenage nostalgia for me. Many of these episodes were filmed in Edmonton, which seemed like a big deal at the time. Our local TV station played them nightly at 11 for years--I'm sure I saw every episode at least five times. In high school hardly a day would go by without someone I knew making reference to Count Floyd, Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Stewardesses or Mel's Rock Pile.
