Another Social IA Workshop, October 20 in Milwaukee

Rashmi Sinha, Thomas Vander Wal and I will be putting on another social information architecture workshop (Upcoming) on October 20 at the ASIST annual conference in Milwaukee.

The first version of this workshop, at the last IA Summit, was a great success.

I expect that this one will be even better. Here's why:

  • Thomas and I are both writing books on tagging. We have a an hour or two set aside to talk about tagging, but if people are interested we can go really deep on this topic.
  • Rashmi is the CEO of Slideshare and has dozens of great stories about doing social design for a real application. She'll be at Web Directions South later this month talking about the perils of popularity--which looks like a fantastic talk--and you can probably expect some of those ideas to find their way into our session.
  • The three of us don't always agree--and we'll openly debate this approach vs. that approach during the session.

The early-bird registration deadline is tomorrow. But like all ASIST events, it's quite cheap.
