Log file goodies

About five years ago (!) I posted about how people had registered domains for the top 25 misspellings of "Britney Spears." The post included a list of the misspellings.

So every time Britney Spears does something outrageous I see an uptick in traffic from people who can't spell Britney. I did a quick calculation today--"brintyspears.com" and its variants are driving more traffic here this week than any other search term. (Thanks Brit!)

Another interesting tidbit from my log files: my top organic search term is now sparkle motion. For a long while it was folksonomy, but I think sparkle motion is seeing a resurgence thanks to Gary Jules's cover of "Mad World" from Donnie Darko that appears in the Gears of War ads. (Thanks Cliffy B!)
