Countdown to Chile
In November, I head to Chile to participate in the seventh Encuentro Sociedad y Tecnologias de Información (Society and Information Technologies Encounter) and an IA retreat.
I booked the flights yesterday and I'm really excited.
It'll be my first trip to South America, and several friends (1, 2, 3, 4) will be participating in the conference and retreat. It's also a chance to hang out with some cool people (1, 2, 3) I don't know so well.
And if that weren't enough, Jen and I have decided to make it a holiday. So we'll spend two extra weeks in Santiago, at the beach and, hopefully, in Torres del Paine. (The other option is Easter Island, which would be extremely cool. But I've always wanted to go to Patagonia, and the flights are cheaper.)
