Twirlin' whirlies

The day after Webvisions I went to OMSI, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, with Bill DeRouchey and Thomas Vander Wal.

The best exhibit there was a little table that blew air straight up, accompanied by stacks of Dixie cups that could be cut into various whirly shapes and then flown on this column of air.

Bill made a video of our twirlin' whirlies:

We must've spent half an hour there, blocking out the little kids, seeing who could come up with the best whirly design. It was awesome fun.
