Contrast

Right now these are Yahoo's two most popular photos. On the left we have a malnourished 10-month old Moravian boy. And on the right, Patrick Deuel, resident of Sioux Falls, S.D., currently 750 pounds, 300 pounds lighter than he was three months ago.

From the photo caption: "Deuel, 42, who is just under 6 feet tall, is on a 1,200 calorie-a-day diet. He wants to lose at least another 450 pounds or more in the next year and a half to two years. He is being supervised by a team of eight doctors." The boy will almost certainly die soon, and he'll be lucky to have seen one doctor.

I'm not making a point other than the contrast between these two lives is pretty dramatic.
