Signs of intelligent life? No.

Here's what I don't understand about the aliens in Signs: they're smart enough to master interstellar travel, render their ships invisible, and make these complex crop circles to mark their attack points. And yet, despite the fact that water corrodes their skin like acid, they a) invade a planet that's covered in water and where rain is not uncommon, and b) don't wear any clothes.

You'd think they'd have invented a drysuit or something, or at least picked up a few slickers before sending in the armada. But no, they just walk around naked, seemingly oblivious that their invasion could be repelled with a garden hose.
