Expo 67

The National Archives has posted an Expo 67 retrospective. There you can learn many interesting facts, e.g. Charles De Gaulle made his famous statement "Vive le Québec libre" while in Montreal to visit Expo 67. I was born two years after Expo 67, and lived half a continent away, but I still remember seeing pictures of the US pavillion. Who could forget the dome?

Which reminds me, I picked up a copy of David Gelernter's 1939: The Lost World of the Fair last night for $3.50.
