Ages five and up

In today's Globe we find a story on the Forward Command Post, a "bombed-out dollhouse" available this Christmas for children five and up.

I think every parent who buys this toy should get a complimentary copy of Saving Private Ryan. Then they can show their kids that scene where the soldiers are trying rescue the girl from the bombed-out second-floor apartment. What fun! After that, if the young'uns are still interested in playing war, maybe they could sit through The Thin Red Line, Platoon, Black Hawk Down, and Schindler's List.

I'm sure the toy maker, who knows that kids appreciate little details like bullet holes in the walls, would want this toy to be played with realistically.
