31. My Old Skateboard

I'm fortunate to live about a mile from an excellent public skatepark. I rarely use it, but I could use it, though I'd have to do it early in the morning to avoid the hordes of kids.

And I have to admit to certain reluctance to bust out my best remaining tricks--a frontside rock and roll, or a backside boneless--in front of nine-year olds landing ollie heelflips. Being Old Skool only gets one so far.

My current rig was acquired at Geoff's garage sale (I think he got for $3 from a Goodwill Store in San Francisco). My favourite old decks, from back in the day, were the Natas Panther (I had the second edition I think) and the Schmitt Stix Yard Stick, a 36" long board.
