28. Sandwich

The breadSeriously, it's called Sandwich. You walk into the Italian Centre, conveniently located in one of the sketchiest parts of Edmonton, go to the deli and there's a sign.

The sign says:

Sandwich
$6

Mortadella
Capicollo
Prosciutto
Ajvar Sauce
Provolone Cheese
French loaf
No additions, substitutions or deletions accepted.

To the fellow behind the counter you say "sandwich." He hands you a thick foot-long sandwich wrapped in brown butchers' paper. You pick up a Chinotto on the way out and find a spot to enjoy your real Italian cold cuts.
