12. Ampex 456

There's something comfortable about analog media. It's warm and tactile and pleasantly fuzzy. This is a compantion to the Sony TC-399, though it's here for its design rather than its audio properties.

Ampex 456 tape

I have a handful of these, most still in the wrapper. I'm saving them for my home studio (which I'll build just as soon as I locate that upholstered Kustom amplifier I've been after).
