I guess that's why they call it collateral damage

After accidently dropping bombs on your allies, why does it take two days for someone to say "oops, sorry?" Initially I wanted to blame the lawyers, who have convinced us that every act of contrition carries a price tag. But now I just think Bush is a cad for putting his presidential frittering above a simple show of empathy and concern. Actually, I thought he was a cad before, but this really confirms it.

From today's Globe and Mail:

NDP Leader Alexa McDonough said she has a "real sense of rage that we're being taken for granted."

I don't know, Alexa. I don't think they wanted us there in the first place, with our green uniforms and sub-par machine guns and penchant for peacekeeping. But aren't we all proud to live in a country with a mediocre army and public health care? Oh, and let's not forget federal gun control laws.
